Reschedules and cancellations

Customers change or cancel from the link in their text. You can do it from Bookings. Everyone is told.

By the customer

Every confirmation text carries a manage link. It opens a page with the booking's details and two choices: pick another open time, or cancel with an optional reason. Nothing to sign in to. The link works only while the booking is confirmed and in the future; after that the page asks them to call you.

  • Moving creates a new booking at the new time and cancels the old one, so your history shows both.
  • The customer gets a text confirming the new time (with a new manage link) or the cancellation.
  • You get an alert saying who changed what. It uses the New bookings switch under Settings, Notifications.
  • When online booking is not on your plan, the customer can still cancel but is asked to call to move.

By you

On the Bookings page, a confirmed booking has Reschedule and Cancel booking, and once its day arrives, Mark completed and Mark as no-show. A cancelled, completed or no-show booking has Reopen as confirmed. Rescheduling and cancelling each offer to text the customer, and show you the wording first.

Booking statuses

Recovered jobs

A booking made within seven days of a missed call from the same number is marked as recovered from that call. The Overview uses this to estimate what Catchline has brought in, using the service price or the average job value from Settings, Business profile. It is an estimate and it is labelled as one.
