Privacy policy

Effective September 3, 2026

Catchline texts your missed callers, takes bookings and asks for reviews on your behalf. To do that it holds information about you and about your customers. This page says what, why, and how to get it back or remove it.

Who we are

Catchline (catchlinehq.com) provides missed-call text-back, online booking and review requests for local service businesses. In this policy "you" is the business that signed up. "Your customers" are the people who call, text or book with you.

Questions about this policy go to hello@catchlinehq.com.

What we collect

About you and your team:

  • Email address and a password, which our login provider stores only as a hash.
  • Business name, owner name, industry, address or service area, time zone, website, and the phone number customers call.
  • Your services, hours, message wording, notification choices and billing status.

About your customers:

  • Phone number, and a name if they give one.
  • The texts exchanged with your business, the calls that were missed, bookings, and whether a review link was opened.
  • Notes your team writes about a conversation.

Technical information: server logs, IP address, browser type and timestamps, kept to run and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To run the service: detect missed calls, send texts in your business name, take bookings, alert you, and send review requests.
  • To support you, bill you, and keep the service secure.
  • To count usage against your plan.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your customers' information for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the service, and only what each one needs:

  • Twilio, which connects the calls and sends and receives the texts.
  • Stripe, which handles payment. We never see your full card number.
  • Supabase, which hosts the database and the login system.
  • The company that hosts our servers.

We also share information when the law requires it, and we will tell you when we are allowed to.

Text messages and consent

Texts go only to people who called or texted your business or booked through your page. Every first text says which business sent it and how to opt out. A reply of STOP is honoured automatically and further texts to that number are blocked until the person texts again.

You are responsible for using Catchline in line with telephone and messaging laws where you operate, including carrier registration.

Our messaging policy sets out when each message is sent, how consent is given, and how to stop.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your information while your account is active. You can export everything from Settings at any time.

When you delete your account from Settings, your business, contacts, messages, bookings and notes are removed. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

A customer who wants their information corrected or deleted can ask you, or ask us at hello@catchlinehq.com.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit. Database access rules mean each business's team can only see its own data. Passwords are never stored in plain text. No system is perfectly secure; if you think something is wrong, tell us straight away.

Changes

When this policy changes we post the new version here with a new effective date, and we email account holders about any change that matters.
