What happens when you are closed

Outside your hours, send a different text with emergency instructions, and let customers still book.

Updated

Catchline uses the weekly hours under Settings, Business hours to decide whether a call arrived while you were open. By default a missed call outside those hours gets the same text as any other. Turn on the after-hours text to say something different.

Turn on the after-hours text

  1. Open Settings, Business hours and find the After hours card.

  2. Switch on Send the after-hours text instead.

  3. Optionally add emergency instructions (up to 200 characters) and an emergency phone. The instructions are added to the after-hours text, and both are shown on your booking page.

  4. Save, then read the after-hours wording under Settings, Messages and automation and change it if you like. It is editable on every plan.

What the customer gets

The after-hours text names your business, says you are closed, and on Growth and Pro includes your booking link so they can book the next open time. With emergency instructions, it also says what to do right now. The lead time and booking window you set still apply to anything they book.

Your hours are read in your business time zone from Settings, Business profile. If the wrong text goes out, check the time zone first.

Closed days and special hours from Time off and special hours change what customers can book. The after-hours text follows your weekly hours only.
